Assignment Description: We are looking for a Senior Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team What you will work on: Coordinate, evaluate, and improve fixed telephony, integrated communications, and internal contact centers within the client’s IT organization. Serve as the technical contact for both internal and external suppliers, ensuring smooth daily operational deliveries. Manage and maintain telephony systems, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement telephony solutions aligned with business requirements. Monitor system performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). Provide technical expertise and support for telephony-related projects and initiatives.
What you bring: Technical degree in telecommunications or equivalent experience in the field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT, preferably as an operations engineer in telephony-related roles. Proficiency with various telephone technologies and vendors such as Avaya, Unify, Mitel, Nec, Audiocodes, Cisco, etc. Experience managing enterprise networks for multi-site and multi-protocol telephony. Familiarity with Call Center solutions, preferably Enghouse TRIO. Knowledge of ITIL processes is advantageous but not required. Understanding of IT security principles in a corporate environment. Familiarity with MS Teams telephony and integrated communications. Proficiency in using ticketing tools and managing service level agreements (SLAs). Strong understanding of telephony protocols such as SIP/SIPs, RTP/SRTP, and legacy protocols. Knowledge of server infrastructure related to telephony, including virtual machines and serverless technology. Excellent communication skills to interact with technical experts, customers, and group management. Fluent in spoken and written English.
Additional Skills (Advantageous): Experience with IT security protocols and practices. Knowledge of emerging telephony technologies and trends. Certifications in relevant telephony technologies or ITIL.
